This Sabrent Hard Drive adapter converts your 2.5-inch IDE notebook hard drive to function as a standard 3.5-inch IDE PC compatible hard drive, so you can insert into a Desktop. Easily connect your 2.5-inch notebook IDE hard drive to a 40-pin IDE cable, for installation in a desktop or tower PC. Each kit features a Universal Mounting Bracket, plus 44-pin female to 40-pin male connectors for IDE hard drives.

Works for all IDE Laptop/Notebook Hard Drives, including DELL, SONY, IBM, Toshiba, HP, COMPAQ, Fujitsu.
Allows you to connect an IDE laptop hard drive to desktop cabling. The laptop hard drive can then be detected and used as a regular drive.
Easily create Ghost images of your laptop (keep in mind that it is much harder to create Ghost Images from a laptop itself).
Transfer data from laptop drive to a desktop drive the quickest way.
